Harold's Closet

More than 20 years ago, Harold DeVries couldn't stand to throw away some clothing left over from a garage sale. So Harold piled the clothes on a table in the church basement and started giving them away. That was the beginning of Harold's Closet.

Today New Visions continues Harold's legacy. Every week as many as a hundred neighbors take home as much as a thousand items from the Closet. And everything is given away absolutely free. Clothing from hats to shoes, kitchen items, housewares, linens, books, and dvd's all find new homes and never go to the landfill.
Harolds Closet is open Tuesday evenings from 6-8, and Saturdays from 10-12. Donations are always accepted in our drop-off booth on the west side of the building.
Volunteers are always needed and welcome. Every week volunteers sort through donations and help organize the inventory seasonally. Volunteers also greet our neighbors during open hours and help them with their selections. We could use your help!
